Submission guidelines

This page describes the types of submissions and how to submit your work to this conference. It provides information to help you through the process from abstract submission to preparing your presentation at the conference.

EUIA23 uses ConfTool to manage paper submissions and registrations. To submit a paper or panel, a user account needs to be created on our ConfTool platform.

If you are not familiar with ConfTool, there is a set-by-step guideline available on:

Submitted panels and papers will undergo a peer review process to ensure the coherence and quality of the programme. Thematic panels have a higher chance of being accepted than individual papers, as there are not always sufficient matching papers to form a panel.

Panel Proposals

A panel consists of 3-4 paper-givers, a discussant and a chair. The chair should not be a paper-giver but can act as a discussant. A panel proposal should be submitted as a whole and contain a panel title, keywords and a 300-word panel abstract. It should also include the details of all the paper-givers of the panel including:

  • Name
  • Institution
  • Email address
  • Names of co-authors (if applicable)
  • Title of the paper
  • 3 to 5 keywords
  • Thematic area
  • 300-word paper abstract

We also facilitate submissions of papers that focus on specific issues pertaining to the theme of #EUIA23 conference. Please find more information about the thematic panels here.

If your paper focuses on either of these themes, please submit your abstract through the general ConfTool platform and provide the number and the name of the thematic panel in your keywords. The goal of these thematic panels is to bring together papers on closely related topics.

Paper Proposals

Paper proposals should include the following:

  • Name
  • Institution
  • Email address
  • Names of co-authors (if applicable)
  • Title of the paper
  • 3 to 5 keywords
  • Thematic area
  • 300-word paper abstract

Papers that are part of a pre-organised panel do not need to be submitted separately.
